I also serialise all mail processing by Squish (running OS/2 on a single 
machine) using a single mail processing task and "flag" files that control WHAT 
I want each run to do. However its not easy to include all Mail traffic 
handlers (EG Binkley, BinkD, etc) into the same controls in all situations, you 
can reach a situation where one of them misses such activity, hence why I force 
everything to HOLD, then "release" the traffic after the mail processing work. 
Its elimintaed 99.999% of the clashes for me....;-)
