Subj : Potential Squish bug: Forward File routing To : Wes Garland From : Bob Jones Date : Mon Jul 21 2003 09:26 pm Wes: I know I haven't tested whtat Joe is trying to do.... In fact I'm the opposite, I have as much of the file forwarding disabled as I can perform. We need to put Joe's comment in the queue for review after we finally have a stable version of Maximus/Squish running under Linux...... Also, I'll forward a copy of this to you in the MUFFIN echo, since I'm not sure you are carrying the TUB echo. Take care..... Bob Jones, 1:343/41 JD> Hello all, JD> I've inquired about this in the past, and have looked JD> into it on a couple different occasions, with no success. JD> I want mention it again, here, now, just in case it is JD> a bug. Perhaps just knowing it is there, it might get JD> worked out sometime in the future. JD> Using: SQUISH/386 SquishMail Conference Processor, Version 1.11. JD> 1-01-99 3:02a 146878 0 SQ386P.EXE JD> Binkley style. JD> I cannot get it to allow me provide a file forward for two of my links. JD> I've worked around it, to allow an NC that I connect JD> with, to route his netseg to the RC, with whom I also JD> connect. Being able to offer this service is what drew JD> my attention to configuring Squish to allow it. JD> I've reviewed : JD> ForwardFrom [FILE] [...] and that JD> general area in Squish.doc JD> along with: JD> Route [NoArc] [File] [...] JD> and that area of Squish.doc. JD> Apparently both are needed. JD> The symptom: JD> It seems like Squish still wants to read and use the JD> path to the file that is on the subject line, as it JD> came in from the sender. JD> Of course, this most likely points to some dir that JD> does not exist on my system. :) JD> The best I can get it to log is: JD> SQSH File attach `D:\BT\In\I' does not exist! JD> The subject line was: Subj : I:\xxxNET\NETxxx.xxx JD> 'D:\BT\IN\' *is* the path to my inbound ... so it was JD> trying. :) However, it looks like it starts to tack JD> on the orginal subject line, then quits. JD> The .hlo file Squish created contained a line : D:\BT\In\I JD> And to even get it to do this much, I had to comment out JD> ForwardTo WORLD in Squish.cfg. I use this for JD> normal netmail forwarding, JD> and need it. JD> I had in place ForwardTo File 1:13/0 JD> only. This would not be enough for normal operation. JD> Has anyone else experienced these things with Squish JD> set up in a Bink style system? If so, and you JD> overcame it, please direct me. JD> Maybe I've misinterpretted the docs somehow.... JD> Has anyone ever successfully used Squish's documented JD> file forwarding of routed netmails with file attaches, JD> with a Bink style system? If so, I'd really like to JD> see the pertinent parts of your Squish.cfg and JD> Route.cfg. JD> Else, to whomever is working on new versions of JD> Squish, please take note of this. Thank you. JD> I'll be happy to re-do my experiments with any config JD> you like, and report. JD> Thanks JD> .....Joe --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Top Hat 2 BBS (1:343/41) .
