With Binkley there are three ways to start a BBS under that front end. The methods that drop to a DOS command prompt to start the BBS fail in (most?) Windows enviornments becuase the com port handle (i.e. DTR gets dropped, causing modems to hang up...) gets reset by starting the DOS command. And then there is also the issue of getting the com port handle properly passed to Maximus. I haven't messed with this..... BJ> What are you using for a FOSSIL? The DOS version of Maximus will need the FOSSIL. I don't know if the NT version of Maximus was similar to the OS/2 version (i.e. FOSSIL not required....) or if it still needed a FOSSIL.....
