   Thanks.   I just got a netmail from my uplink mentioning Squish NT
   version also.   I did not see one when I went to the web page.   I'll
   look again.   I did see the NT version of Maximus, but was not sure
   (till now) that it also would work in XP Home Edition.

   I suspect that the DOS version of Maximus might have had a problem
   because of high message numbers in the Squish data base (200K + for
   some echo areas).   I ran the SQFIX program, which renumbered the
   data base down to current size (2K+ or less for each echo area) and
   that problem went away.   Perhaps the NT version won't have the
   problem to start with -- I'll be finding out before long.

   That is one problem I am having -- and have now been told that I need
   to look for a FOSSIL program or other sort.  My front end is
   configured to access the COM port directly, and I gather that is a
   no-no under XP system.   I have the same problem with attempting to
   install my simple and trusty old Qmodem program.
