I think the essence of what you're looking for is in:

=== Cut ===
SQINFO %1 -E
IF ERRORLEVEL 0 GOTO SKIP
SQFIX32 %1
:SKIP
=== Cut ===

%1 is the full path\filename.sqd
SQINFO with -E returns a non-zero errorlevel if anything is grunged
