Subj : Forwarding files with Squish To : Alan Ianson From : Joe Davis Date : Mon Oct 22 2001 05:52 am Hi Alan, [...] JD>> The sender's original netmail, on the subject line, was: Subj : JD>> I:\a_dir_here\filename.ext AI> Akk! Looks like it added the drive letter of the original message to AI> your inbound directory..? Actually, all it logged was the first letter, that being the original sender's drive. Appeared to cut it off after the colon. Whatever .... its picking up the original sender's subject line. AI> I have never seen that happen before so I can't say what might help. :( and we were just getting up to speed .... now we're out'a gas. hehehe JD>> You've got me moving in the right direction. :) Can you gimme JD>> another shove? please. AI> I wish I could but I'm at a loss now. The only suggestion I can give AI> you is to use another netmail manager like net manager or CFRoute. I AI> use CFRoute myself for some tasks that need further attention b/c AI> some programs designed for dynamic (I guess) mailers don't always do AI> what we'd like in a static mailer. CFRoute is a freeware program done AI> by the Husky Project. Net manager is free now too.. since the author AI> released a key generator. CFRoute ... hmmm... rings a bell. An old friend, and a sysop that has helped me a lot in the past, from down under , once upon a time sent me some sort of netmail manager program. That might be it. Thanks for the tip though. I already play with Ftrack. If necessary, I can explore that. AI> It would be preferable if Squish would do this itself but.. if not Exactly. I'd like Squish to do it. It says it will in the docs, therefore I want to get it working. :) Usually when I feel like I've read and followed the directions, and whatever still doesn't work, I find something that I completely missed or misunderstood. I can't find it this time. I can't find reference to route file being necessary in route.cfg , either. Is it undocumented? AI> there are other options. I recomend CFRoute if all else fails. I hope AI> CFR doesn't also do as Squish does.. If you want to try it it can be AI> found on Bob Juge's site www or ftp or telnet juge.com. The filename AI> is CFR-A95B.ZIP. Will have to check and see if I already have it, and if it is the same. Thanks. AI> Let us know how it works out, I'm interested to know if Squish can be AI> made to do this or not.. Yeah.... I am too. :) I'm hoping to find somebody that presently does just this, with Squish, with Bink style outbounds - basically the same thing I have. Btw, you wouldn't think it would make any difference if I tried it in one-pass mode, would you? .... I just thought of that.... ....Joe --- Msged/2 TE 05 * Origin: Cairdeas (1:261/1380) .
