Neither Waco nor Ruby Ridge were handled appropriately, but both of
those events occurred before that USA Patriot act, so I don't see how
they apply to your argument. And in both cases, serious violations of
the law transpired before the "illegal invasions".

You call me naive, I call you paranoid.  Do I care if the federal
government wants to wiretap my house and read my email?  Not a bit, let
them knock themselves out. If in exchange, I am better protected from
some lunatic who plans to blow up my building, then that is more than a
fair trade.

If at some point down the line someone tries to use some of that
"intelligence" against me, let them try, I have done nothing wrong.

One of our biggest problems is our lack border security and weak
immigration controls.  The Soviet Union had absolutely NO trouble with
illegal immigrants because everyone knew they would be shot if they
were caught in the USSR illegally.

Do I care about the rights of some illegal Arab immigrant that has been
arrested and held indefinitely?  Not at all, These people are not U.S.
Citizens, they are not protected by our Constitution.  They "invaded"
our country and should be executed.
