Subj : Re: OT Military To : All From : Blue Beard Date : Fri Jan 10 2003 08:58 pm Well, I have 3 buddys who took the Navy route. All 3 liked it for the most part. One got a medical discharge due to a hurt knee and recieves partial disability for life. The other did his 4 years and is now going to school paid for by Uncle Sam. The other resigned, he is going to college paid for by Uncle Sam, and on to officers school. He is the one that wants to become a "naval aviator" (Sorry I think of Top Gun whenever I say that) One was stationed in Italy and did a stunt on a ship off of Asia somewhere this summer for a month. The other one was stationed out of SG's neck of the woods. His ship was actually refueling AFTER the Cole. Even after that he still talks about it positivly. They try all the time to talk me into it. Screw it.. I'm too hard headed, I don't want a schedule and someone else telling me what to do all the time, you might like it. -Blue Beard >From a message by sloppy about OT Military: > With an anticipated graduation from college in December, I've been pondering what to do from this point on in life. I recently hit upon the idea of the military, was wondering if people could offer input, horror stories, advice, warnings, etc. Anything would be appreciated. --- FEddy 1.4.03/modPHX * Origin: http://www.twgs.org -- THE Trade Wars web forum!
