Subj : Re: Apology to Silver To : All From : Blue Beard Date : Thu Jan 09 2003 06:11 pm I've been around the group long enough. I take alot of time off in the summer and around the holidays. He is trying to protect the integrity of the game by having every single edit out in the open for display before the game starts. See that way no one has to worry about a planet not making as many fighters as it was supposed to. I was in the USO last year, granted it was my first tournament and between hELLCAT and Tweety my corp just pretty much tried to survive our first big adventure. The planet edit didn't effect my corp. If the edits were released no one would be able to question the edits. No pressure on SD to make sure they are right, because they would be identical. Sure SG wants to win. We play the game to win. Lets look at his primary motive though. As I mentioned earlier I think its manifested into something else. But he has also taken time to try to fix the problem for the future. Most of this doesn't effect me because I don't even know if I'm going to play in the USO, getting the snot beat out of me wasn't a fond memory. I'm not sure I'm ready for that game. As the game op its SD right to change his mind. Thats not the reason I agree with the cause. When your running a tournament thats going to have more then 40 people playing in it, your going to have to expect some critics. If I was a betting man though I'd bet on SD that the edits will be right. He cares a bit more then anyone gives him credit for. For next year and future tournaments though, I think it would be wise to release the edits 72 hours before the game starts. Nothing changes here people. Those who are dedicated and put the time in (when needed) are those who win. Stop acting like we are all kids here. Most of us are Adults after all. -Blue Beard >From a message by Dark Helmet about Re: Apology to Silver: > eh? how long have you been around this group? How is he trying to protect the integrity of the game? Hell ya he is testing SD. That is what he does. He hunts for to hack on people about. He loves to wind people up and cause hate and discontent. He is doing this for him. The Most important person in SG's world is SG. The only other important thing to him when it comes to TW is his corp winning. It isn't the fun or sport of the game. Winning. That is it. I do agree with his arguement that the .twa file should be released. Not because It is the norm or cause it is the players right to have it, It should be released because SD said he was goin to.
