heh.  i love that "swayed by popular opinion" thing.  in fact, popular
opinion did not say anything to the effect of "don't release the twa
file".  silver dragon took that advice of some friends he trusted, what
he considered to be wise counsel, and it has been the "popular opinion"
of this forum that has harrassed him endlessly and he hasn't buckled.

so, i would have to summarize that in fact, he has not been swayed by
public opinion in the slightest.  what space ghost is upset about is
that SD didnt ask him.

your "popular opinion" is my "wise counsel" - even though personally i
would rather have the twa file released, i respect silver dragon's right
to make a decision based on the advise of people he trusts.

Very entertaining thread, but it has gone downhill and off the original
thrust, which was that it is not a good idea to have a tourney moderated
by anyone who can be swayed by popular opinion. 

I dont know Silver. Seems to me that he is doing his best to ensure a
fair and great USO.

USO has been screwed up everytime I played by the gameop - I did not
play last year - might be that that one wasnt.

SD has inherited a legacy flawed by years of repeated gameop USO effups.
Not the least of which were (repeated year after year) tedit corrections
that were provided to select "friends" before general release.

I cannot speak for Space Ghost but I sure as hell can empathise with
him. There is no way in hell that I will ever play USO unless gameop
throws away tedit, or publishes .twa so that he/she can be exposed if
ANY setting changes midgame.
