Subj : Re: Re:Cherokee's Photon Script To : All From : Blue Beard Date : Sun Jan 05 2003 02:00 am I agree on all accounts. If its only a single if statement... sure I doubt it adds much... and even the line that you have to have in there to grab the trader's name... which you don't really need for an adjacent photon script... I doubt that effects it much either. But when we are all trying to gain an advantage and worried about pings here and number of commands accepted by the server there... lets just say it could be faster, no matter how small of a margin. -Blue Beard >From a message by Cherokee about Re:Cherokee's Photon Script: > I found that a fair compromise between keeping it private, and releasing it to the public. In retrospect, I should have disclosed it. Concerning performance, there is a single additional IF statement involved. I'm sure that slows the script down quite a bit. It's probably worth noting that limpet mines will trigger the script before figs will, and the filter doesn't come into play in that scenario at all. --- FEddy 1.4.03/modPHX * Origin: http://www.twgs.org -- THE Trade Wars web forum!
