Hello, the forum overhaul is still under way, although it may be a few
days before the next revision comes online.  I'm doing it this way so both
the new email system and the new web forum system come online at the same
time without losing a single message in the transition :)

The new login system will be cookie-based, but loginhandles will
be brought back as a backup if they are needed.  

The web side of the forum, however, will DEFINITELY be ready to go online
on January 1st in some time zone, just like last year, and the email
system will likely be ready on the 4th, just like last year :)

I'm just going to wait until both are ready before bringing them online so
the transition is smoother.
