Subj : Re: Swath 1.6 To : All From : timborulz Date : Sat Dec 21 2002 04:42 pm There are some really good new Java API's in Swath 1.6, and big improvements to ones which already existed. Swath 1.6 really is a huge jump forward in features. I will say it's got a number of noticable bugs -- I wouldn't recommend using it in a tourney game yet. However, you can install it in a new subdirectory and run a side game with fair success. I like the WaitForText.exec() with a timeout option, this is great for kill scripts & world trade/steal scripts. Also, all existing Java API's now have full exception handling so you write a script that uses these API's with much greater overall reliability. -Timbo. >From a message by col sanders about Swath 1.6: > I wanted to take a minute to commend Mac and Stein on Swath 1.6. So far, its awesome! I really like the learn macro feature, it makes doing buydowns a piece of cake. I haven't tried Rexx scripts on it yet, but I hear they work pretty well. Anyone who has not tried it yet should, its really cool Col Sanders --- FEddy 1.4.03/modPHX * Origin: http://www.twgs.org -- THE Trade Wars web forum! (1:229/522.0) .
