Subj : Re:OT - Two Towers To : All From : SupGx Date : Fri Dec 20 2002 06:05 pm I went to it opening night Though I haven't completely finished the Two Towers portion of the book (still have about 30-40 pages left) I though that the movie held very true to the book without overdoing it. There were some subtle differences that I noticed (i think) but since i have such a horrible memory, i'm not sure if they were different or not, I'll have to re-read those portions of the book. Overall I thought the movie was excellent. If Fellowship of the Ring was 10 out of 10, i'd rate Two Towers a 9. The only reason for the 9 is that the majority of the movie is build-up and character building for the end of the movie and for Return of the King.. However, I think it is all very tastefully done and very entertaining. There is much more humor in this movie as compared to the first as well. The Ents were kickass, Legolas and Gimli's friendship becomes more prevelant and the fight scenes were amazing. It's well worth the $7.50 I spent to see it.
