A 486 can keep up on a 10Mb connection. It's -> the 100Mb where it starts having problems and unless the 486 has pci I doubt -> you will find a ISA card that can do 100Mb. Well that's a possiblility, one I just turned down. Someone here offered me the PCI riser card for the 486 as it can take either ISA or PCI. Weird motherboard.
