I am betting your kernel should have the proper module already and load -> it. How does it detect the ne2000? Very nicely thank you, it's in the dmesg | less listing but I forget the exact syntax. -> WC> Of course the Knoppix KDE desktop GUI just might automate this -> WC> process -> WC> as it does so much other stuff. -> I am sure it would. If it doesn't then something is amiss. The 3c509's are a -> staple card in tcpip networking. They used to be EVERYWHERE not that long ago. Good to know, I'm reassured. Now it's the sound card, hard drive and network card swap scheduled for the first chance I get to it. I pulled the sound card to work on other stuff. With all the cards in you can't even get to the IDE0 channel connector. -> ->> For isa slots, the 3com509 is the best I found. -> WC> I believe I may have another :-) -> Which is? How about that? It too is a 3com509B so I've two of them! One of them is sure to be good :-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
