The gateway board has a seperate connector for an external scsii raid array.  
Unreal.  Like you say above, it would be extremely expensive to fully bloat and 
exploit all that is possible, including cables.

That is what is needed.  Then a normal 50-pin scsii cable could be used there.  
I like the idea of a male/male adapter since then a regular, easily obtainable 
scsii cable can be used.

Probably the same as me.  I've run across this stuff from time to time but 
usually everything is ide around these parts.
