The darned 486 has the ability to use either ISA or PCI but you need the
appropriate riser card, I've only the ISA.

I'm about to get this  H.P. system just where I want it 
but I do occassionally look at ebay to see if they've any
deals on the used H.P. Vectra line of server class machines.
