Right. I think it has something to do with licensing issues. I read somewhere a major developer of usb drivers complain about MS's heavy handedness lately and they claim they will no longer write usb drivers for Windows as it has cost them more then it is worth. I've see XP corrupt flash disks. I have had to repair quite a few coming from that direction, especially the usb ones. The rest nobody seems to be using other then in digital cameras and the such and then they just transfer from these disks over a usb connection rather then directly from the disk. I prefer the direct approach myself as it works great whereas I have had nothing but problems with various manufacturer's ideas for how I should be communicating with their devices. Too many variations on a theme for my liking. Life is good, Maurice --- Msged/LNX 6.1.2 * Origin: The Pointy Stick Society XV - Linux Point (1:261/38.9) .
