It could have been. Then it would have has a Sticker on the box saying
v.92  I wasn't thinking about those as the most of White 56K
couriers were v.90

The Couriers always were expensive. They are the Cadaliac of the Modems
some think. I have had three of them but I bought them from Sysops after
they upgraded to the latest and greatest at the time.

They still run in that ball park. I find the $50 "Creative" and "Best
Data" Modems work just as good though if one wants an External Serial
Hardware Modem.
I do miss the Loud Sound possable with the Courier/Sporsters though.
Heariong getting a little dim and I cannot hear my External Creative at
all when it is negotating.
