We wish they could launch now and then but lately ...

There _is_ a great deal of 'junk' orbiting and we have people
who spend their days tracking it so we don't run into any of it
(hopefully).

It has been said and admitted to by NASA that they no longer
employ people with sufficient skill sets to design replacements
for the existing shuttles. I often wonder what skill sets they
_do_ get for the billions of dollars being spent each year.
