I don't see a need for any CD with it... -> WC>Lucky you. -> WC>Lucky me too. -> WC>Jay Emrie sent me one of these. -> WC>Just set the COM port and away I went at 49,333 :-) -> This was an External so NO com port to set. Ande as I mentioned i na -> mesage Knoppis found it and it dialed out and negotated a connection -> with my ISP phone number. Maybe your release is differnet but my KPPP dialer requires setting the COM port to tty/S0 which corresponds to COM 1 my external serial port. All releases of Linux I'veplayed with required this either from the command line or from the GUI interface. -> didn't get to use it thouhg as I cannot stil lfigure out how to fully -> set it up. when I tried to use the KNOPPIX connection wizard it didn't -> have the United States on the list of Modem calling from locations. After booting from the CD I merely answered knoppix lang=us. I also used the dialog box as I too failed with the setup wizard option. You just name the account, select the "device" for COM port ( in my case external serial port COM 1), provide the phone number then your user name and password and dial. Took me all of ten minutes to get online the first time. But the setup Wizard craps out here as well. Try the dialog box option and perhaps you'll have better luck?
