Subj : NASA, shuttle, anyone? To : ROY J. TELLASON From : WAYNE CHIRNSIDE Date : Tue Aug 23 2005 07:55 pm -> WC> Taken the tour at Cape Canaveral twice. -> WC> The Saturn 5 is absolutely awesome. -> Yeah it is. I got there once, and it was much later in the day than I'd have -> wanted. But we got a picture with me standing under those rocket nozzles. I -> could probably fit my whole apartment inside of those nozzles... Yeah I doubt anyone who hasn't seen it could realize how big it really is. From T.V. viewing I thought the Titan was big but it's small compared to the Saturn V. -> WC> They've got Redstones and Titan's standing up but the Saturn 5 lies -> WC> on it's side and it dwarfs all the other rockets. -> Yep! Getting back there is probably one of the few reasons I'd wanna get back -> to FL any more. As long as I've lived here I've never seen a launch from that coast. You can actually see the shuttle go up here on the other coast on a clear day as well as SRB separation. Got up one night in the wee hours to see the shuttle pass over too. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
