Subj : NASA, shuttle, anyone? To : CHARLES ANGELICH From : WAYNE CHIRNSIDE Date : Sun Aug 07 2005 05:40 pm Hi Charles. -> Have been a bit surprised at the lack of interest in this echo of -> the sloppiness of the recent space shuttle launch? Heard the latest? Seems the tank was dinged right where the foam piece fell off. Foam there was removed, the dent removed and foam reapplied. Or do you mean the atmosphere of safety laxity? First no launch without four functioning fuel sensors, then later it really reperesents no threat. I can't help but wonder if those sensors failed to indicate low fuel and flames from the nozzels on the three main engines were sucked back into their enclosed combustion chambers with the fuel remnants. Isn't that called a _bomb_? Someone needs to contact Burt Ruttan in a hurry IMO. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
