I find that those who use BSD or some flavor of UNIX CA>> are the intelligent *nix users. TW> There you go. Linux is *nix for DUMMIES!!! :-) Not really. I think MINIX and LINUX were developed for those who could not afford the real UNIX OS and hardware required to install/use UNIX some years ago. TW> I used to watch the guys manupliate Unix when I was a temp TW> with Hewlett Packard Medical Division. That was Baffiling TW> ot me but Impressive. That was i nthe day of 1X CD drives. TW> We would go in and start the instal of UNIX and then go TW> back about 4 Hours later and them wait for it to finish. TW> But once properly set up it5 was ROCK solid and could run TW> for YEARS without a Re-Boot. If I stopped installing additonal software and only ran with what I have installed now I think my W2K could run for a year or more without a reboot. I've gone for six months (approx) before and wasn't trying to avoid problems really. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > <| |> __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ....
