Subj : KNOPPIX 3.9 last CD To : 4 From : TOM WALKER Date : Mon Jul 25 2005 12:57 pm CA>WC>> I've no problems so far with Knoppix at all. sorry you've CA>WC>> not shared that good fortune. CA>TW> Wel lit is HIGHLY overated as far as it's use by the LINUX CA>TW> novice. CA>Any version of windows would perplex a first-time computer CA>user. Every new version of windows brings out the 'stupid CA>questions' list here on FIDO. The more experienced are happy CA>campers until something won't set itself up using a 'wizard' CA>and then there are the times the entire windows OS vanishes and CA>the machine won't even boot. Adn that is a problem. WHY was the Apple Lisa a better computer for the novice then Windows has EVER been?? Tehg first tiem I even say a GUI was o nthe Apple Lisa. And within Minutes(little overstating) I was comfortable. As a comparision all Win versions since WFWG have been over complicated and confusing. Blus somewhat Disaster prone. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
