Subj : Battery charger. To : JEAN PARROT From : TOM WALKER Date : Tue Jun 14 2005 12:44 pm JP> You know better. But what about using a NiCad charger on NiMh JP> cells ? I thouhgt I mentioned it befop4e but it basicly is really not recommended unless the charger is a modern type including close Voltage control and posabibly cell temperature. That sais since the Biggest problem is Cell heating using a litle less then 1/10 MaH curent and an approprate Timed charge as indicated by the Cell MaH rating can do in a pinch. This is assuming that you normaly discharge the batteries to some low voltage cutoff point or warning on the Radio. BUT really a professional automatic Charger/Discharge unit designed for Both NiCads and NiMH is strongly recomended. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
