That's the stuff that was in the books when I was learning electronics...

F cell?  Hm.  I think that those were what was inside some of the 6V squarish 
"lantern" batteries,  four of those,  wasn't that it?

Interesting stuff.  But I remember seeing something in a magazine a while back 
about some *really* old batteries that were discovered by some arhaeologist,  I 
forget exactly where,  though.
