JP> Thanks. I found his explaniation of the Various types of Lead Scid Batteresic and theri Plus and Minus points very informative. I am an old Lead Acid Battery man having searved fro 3 1/2 years on an old Battery Submarine, Befpoe I entered the Navy's Nuclear Power Program, and later having in charge fo the Batery Overhaul Shop at th Submarine Base Pearl Harbor. OF course we only dealt with Flooded Cell Lead Acid Batteries. Which were somewhat Large having a 500O AH rated capacity and having a Main Battery Well Circuit Breaker set at 50,000 AMPS. the two subs I was on had two battery wells with series connettions or 250 Volt DC to power the Equipment. Soem were modified to enable series Series connection of the Two battery wells for 500 Volts to the propulsion motors. I also found his Cost analisis between the Three types of batteries intersting. I knew quite a bit about the Flooded and Gell cells having worked with them for many years. But very little little abotu the AGM type of Batteries before reading his stuff. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
