->      Yon  Yellow 4
->   Gotham  Green  5
->  Bridge.  Blue   6
->     Very  Violet 7
->    Good,  Gray   8
->   Wayne!  White  9
->      Get  Gold   0.1   1% (tolerance)
-> Superman  Silver 0.01  5%
->    Next!  None        10%

Or just assemble a few Heathkits as I did in my youth
and you memorized it without trying.

I used the corrigated cardboard from the box the kits
came in to prearrange the resisors in ascending value.

Bit me in the butt once when I jostled the box and some resistors
disappeared into the corrigations in the cardboard.

When I ran out of a value I'd have to use a razor
or turn the box upside down to retrieve them.
