TELLASON From : TOM WALKER Date : Sat May 28 2005 01:00 pm RJT>TW> On my 2 1/2 Laptop Hard Drive to IDE cable adapter it looks like a RJT>TW> Yellow/Purple/Brown resistor, the colo s are hard for me to make RJT>TW> out. RJT>Me too, with the newer, quarter watt and smaller parts. Yellow-purple-br RJT>_would_ be 470 ohms, though. RJT>Seems like the manufacturers of resistors are using more colors that are RJT>"ambiguous" lately. I find that a magnifying glass and strong lighting hel RJT>:-) They use LOW contrast colors for sure. NOT like the old days when the colors were bright and recognizable instantly. n the resistro I was looking the Purple was really unrecognaziable even with a mannifying glass. IT was only the "Hint" of the recomendation of a 470 Ohm resister that I decided that is what it was. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
