The StarCore high performance DSP cores available from 
Agere Systems and Motorola are designed to provide application 
efficiency for next generation communication designs and 
applications. This highly scalable architecture helps provide 
a competitive advantage with the following features: 


- Efficient compilability allowing software code 
  development to be  written in 'C' and minimizing 
  hand assembly for highly optimized code.
- Very high performance, both in MHz and peak MMACS, 
  to enable compute-intensive communication applications

- Compact code density requiring less memory and therefore

0.07mW/MMAC @ 0.9V.StarCore SC110 - 300MHz, 300MMACs 
or 1200 RISC MIPS at one-half of the peak power
