Hello there!

I only want to know how does a battery discharger works.

Is it just like putting a resistor across the terminals of the Ni-Cad
batteries?  If it works just like that, what is the recommended resistance for
safe and fast discharging of a 1.2V 700mAh Nickel Cadmium battery?
