At Home Depot - most of the oil I saw there was set up for 50:1. They sell tiny bottles 2.xx ounces, enough for 1 gal of mix (Cost a buck apiece), and they also had larger bottles of oil, with a siphon reservoir thingie, which is intended to meter out just enough oil at a time for one gallon of gas, again, a 50:1 mix. This oil is _expensive_ per ounce, also. I ended up going to Discount Auto Parts, and bought a quart of oil as used by boaters, Sea-Doos, , etc. and mixing my own 32:1 for the string trimmer. I loaned the chainsaw to my son to cut up a fallen limb, and he has already run some 50:1 mix thru it. - - I sent him an empty gascan and one of those 2.xx ounce bottles of this fancy new oil. But what I was questioning most, was what has changed since the old 32:1 days - - is it the engines, or perhaps the properties of the oil? Worried me that the place which fixed my old Homelite Chainsaw recommended I start using a 50:1 mix of today's oil. - - - JimH. ....
