Try using Telix or some other basic modem terminal emulator with Zmodem 
in it to access the server and set your telnet session through it to 
TRANSPARENT.  Then try Zmodem.  I found it necessary with my BBS, though, 
to set the Zmodem timeout at 5 minutes (300 seconds) to prevent conflict 
with the TCP transport layer.
