Some telnet clients don't permit 8-bit ASCII, in which case you need to 
specify 7-bit Zmodem transfers to use it.

If you are using DSZ or GSZ in a DOS terminal program (such as Telix or 
Intellicom), you can use command line switches to do this (see the DSZ 
docs).
