 Sounds interesting. What else can you do from the server prompt?
 Is telnet restricted to port 23? Do you have a place to store
 files on the server and can you download them from there to your
 PC?

 If all you can do is standard telnet (port 23), then you can try
 downloading files using x/y/zmodem (or Kermit) on the bbs and on
 your PC (in the terminal program) over the telnet connection
 between the gateway and the bbs.
