Ah... 6582 not counting this one. :) CH> Thats not bad for the time frame and number of areas I post in. all fido though. :) Yeah, well, I try and read everyday, somedays, I just download the mail, and make a note to try and read it all, and somedays, like to-day, I try and "catch-up", on the unread, Fido (245 echoes, off which I actively participate in 10-12, and contribute to a few others when I can), E-mail, and Mail-lists (3 Linux, 2 Hi-Fi, 1 FlyFishing, and 1 list, that was a BBS echo way back. Somewhere in-between I try and improve my knowledge of Linux and the programs, that run on it. I play with computers/Linux at home, to keep myself occupied, when I am not working, or angling or otherwise busy. Having married a lady with 7 brothers and sisters, does not make life any easier, they all expect to be visited, and make visits, and I cannot be rude, and work on the computers while they are here, so family "duties" not including the children "wastes" a lot of otherwise spare time. I want to learn perl/php, get some dos doors (BRE, LORD & Tradewars) running, somewhere in between I need to try and find the financial means to acquire myself a HDD that works with an AMD 500 cpu system I have, the 2x545 Seagates, and a Seagate 2.2 Gig, I have on hand, it does not like, and I am unable to buy it a new one, a computer dealer friend of mine says it is fine, just needs a HDD that is in good nick, I have my doudts, but don't have the cash to prove it either way, so it must wait. Wouldn't mind playing with a dual CPU system, mostly for bragging rights, but I have never seen one. Dual Pentium I's or even 486's would be fine, tho finding memory for 486 boards is extremely difficult, even when one has money to burn. Life is a bugger, then you ....
