Fidonet is not the same in the all the world.

The italian echopolicy is different from the echopolicy used in Zone 1 (USA) so 
is better you explain "what is Fidonet" as an american sysop.

The international areas moderators are very 'soft' compared to our local areas.

Now the situation is very different, there are less messages, less users, and 
many of these are old friends, so the moderator  post the policy monthly and 
write messages no more.

p.s. Yesterday I have requested an account to Santronic BBS becouse I want
to know WHY Fidonet messages are too "cluttered".
The Fidonet message areas I read here are interesting for me, I think they have 
different areas compared to my bbs.
