True, but Irex won't necessarily send the packet out if it's flavored HOLD, even if it's there in the outbound. HOLD prevents the mailer from sending it POTS, and that's why I told him it should be flavored as HOLD if he's using Irex to send it, but you can also flavor it with the Route keyword as well as the Send keyword, and one advantage to using the Route keyword is that you can then route further node numbers to that address, like so... Route Hold 1:3613/2 1:3613/all In order to get Irex to send a packet which you've flavored as HOLD, you have to first ensure that "Send mail on hold" is enabled under "Rex's Behavior" in the Rex config program. If you don't have that set, changing the flavor to Hold will cause Irex to ignore it, and it will not be sent. Route normal or Route crash /would/ still allow Irex to send it if "Send mail on hold" was not enabled, but BinkleyTerm would keep trying to find an address in the nodelist to send it to. Since it wouldn't find one for a point number, it wouldn't send it. You can also route mail that's on hold using Irex, in the ROUTE.REX file, like so: route-to 1:3613/2 1:3613/* This will route a packet on HOLD, addressed to 1:3613/1275 via 1:3613/2 for me. The best way to do it is Use the Route keyword in Squish, and using that, flavor it as HOLD, and set Irex to "Send mail on Hold". --- Mystic BBS v1.07.2 (DOS) * Origin: MikE'S MaDHousE -- WelComE to the AsYluM!
