"Send" just tells Squish what flavor to put on the packets. (From the SQUISH.DOC file): The Send Command The most basic form of routing is the 'Send' command. This command instructs Squish to compress mail for the specified nodes, and to give the resulting mail a flavour. The Send command does NOT perform any readdressing; it simply modifies the flavour and compression of the mail, without changing that mail's destination. "Route" is the important keyword... The Route Command The Route command is similar to the Send command; however, Route can be used to change the destination address of mail (otherwise known as routing that mail), whereas Send only sends mail directly to its destination. The Route command is normally NOT required for systems using the ArcmailAttach keyword. If you are running an ArcmailAttach mailer, most messages will be routed on- the-fly, so you can safely skip this section. Because you had no "Route" statement for the point address, yet a "Route" statement for /all/ Zone 1 mail, Squish was doing exactly what you were telling it to do. If Squish first finds a "Route" statement for the point address, it will *not*, then, route the mail for that number to your default uplink. Note also that it's also very important for the point number's Route statement to come /before/ the statement for all the rest of the zones in the Route.cfg file, as Squish reads the config from the top line down. As well, if it's bound for an internet gateway, shouldn't it be routed as Hold? Or do you not use a dial-up mailer at all? --- Mystic BBS v1.07.2 (DOS) * Origin: MikE'S MaDHousE -- WelComE to the AsYluM! (1:134/11) .
