But yes, first bbs I ran was acoustic cups, yes! With a crude antique of an answering machine, which connected the phone handset which was always in the acoustic cups, and... ...well, you get the picture, no? Anyhows, the first computer was a TRS-80 model 1! Then, a 4, 4d (double sided drives), then a coco 1, 2, 3, then a model 12, 16, 16b, um... I forget, maybe the first XT came there, then an AT, 286, 386, 486, and that is what the bbs is on right now. DOS mode, MAXimus, and InterMail. Come a long way, yes. But I still long for the days when some things were easier, or the software that each had with each one's benefits, but minus the draw backs. Oh, well. The sacrifices we make for the advancements...
