I have been involved in Fidonet as a sysop since 1989 and a NC since 1990, in 
my experience, fidonet, has better people involved now than it did at any time 
in my past - unfortunately there's just not a lot of them. In areas of europe 
where fidonet has more recently flourished you may still be seeing it as we 
were a few years ago.

To clarify what I said about the people involved, I was trying to say that of 
the people involved then (past 10 years) compared to now - the ones still here 
are generally better behaved than at any time in the past 10 years. Generally 
people are more tolerant, I remember when folks got ridiculed for spelling 
mistakes or poor grammar!
