Well, it was the result of me testing the JS conversion of str_cmds... I was testing the ;BULKMAIL command and used the ARS string "SYSOP" to send messages to assuming that it would only send the message to SYSOPs on my system (ie: me). The second message was a confirmation that I typed SYSOP correctly and that it was actually sending out to everyone. As it turns out, everything was work "correctly"... the SYSOP ARS string tests if the *currently logged on user* is sysop. Testing this against a different user will always be true for every user if the sysop is doing the testing. As a result, the ARS expanted bascially to "Sent this to every user if I am sysop." While confusing, and a violation of POLA, it's not technically "wrong" and Synchronet is working properly. I have discussed this with DM and we may "fix" this sometime in the future. --- þ Synchronet þ ``Penguins make tasty snacks'' .
