So... let me see... 4.x has been doing everything (except transparent windows) perfectly for five years. Which is somehow "Pitiful" they *could* have done a release every 60 seconds... as long as everything works, it doesn't matter. I have never in my life had a use for transparent windows. While I grant that someone else may have, I don't see transparent windows as some sort of "quantum improvement" since I've never had the slightest use for it... and othing I use uses it. Of course, XFree86 *did* add DRI and OpenGL suppport. Something that did result in a noticeable improvemet (locally only) for a handfull of apps that I *do* actually use. Also, DMX is pretty cool (though I never use it either) --- þ Synchronet þ ``Penguins make tasty snacks'' .
