suggestions, if not already supported...
   syncterm telnet:[//]hosname[:port][/]
   syncterm hostname port
   syncterm hostname:port

since if set for the default protocol handler, the first option is what is
passed in windows iirc.. the second/third are used by mtelnet, which are at 
least a familiarity for people.. :)
