Oh yeah, I forgot that you pass a function to sort(). In that case, the branch
callback *could* have an effect (by releasing time-slices when you don't want
it to). You can temporarily disabling the yeilding by setting js.yield_interval
to 0 before calling sort() and restoring after. If this improves performance,
please let me know.
