would really like to help out with this, have fc3 downloading now, and
will update my test box to it tomorrow, installing sbbs from source...

here's my initial thoughts on menu structure, and some ideas on validation.

menus...
   Main - Main Menu / Index Page
       Index - main menu, submenu listing for default
       Who's Online - Online now user listing
       Oneliners - will have a oneliner mod w/ a shared data file with telnet
       System - System stats, etc..
       Your Settings - Personal settings
   Email - Email Screen / Default to View listing
       View Email - List view of inbox.
       Write Email - Compose Email screen
       View Deleted - deleted messages (only if enabled)
       Email Sysop - Feedback option .. redirect to pre-filled compose screen
   Messages - Default to read screen (list of groups)
       Read - start with list of groups, maybe optionally by nntp-naming?
       Post - Post screen, select group/area first
       Newscan - New message scan
       Search - ... Search options
       Qwk Download - ...
       Configure - Configure web/search settings/areas etc...
   Files - Default to brows screen (group selection)
       Browse - start with group/sub selection
       Upload - upload to default area, or select group/sub
       Newscan
       Search
       Configure
   External Programs & Games
     ....it's my intention to create a mod to work with the rlogin, and a
     Java ANSI-BBS Telnet Applet I am having made to display proper ansi,
     to drop users straight into a given door.
     ....beyond this, I want to modify a few popular web-games for seamless
     transision from the bbs website.
   Chat
     java irc client into the bbs ircd.
   Profiles
     user profiles mod...
   Login - Visible when not logged in / guest.
   Newuser - Visible when not logged in.

Idea, when a user isn't logged in, default to "guest" access, if a guest
is setup.. when a user tries to access an area, without access to, they will 
get a screen requesting they login or create a new user...

This way, they get read access to message areas with read acs, etc... just a 
thought on this, for usability standpoints...
