Subj : pico display To : Deuce From : Frank Reid Date : Tue Oct 11 2005 06:25 am On both the Solaris and Ubuntu builds, my pico external editor behaved differently (better) than on FreeBSD. The commandline is the same (default). Specifically, when I insert text in the middle of a paragraph, pico doesn't "push" the text ahead of where I'm inserting, but instead it appears to overwrite it (in a "broken" kind of way). I have to execute ^G or something that gets me off the editing screen, and when I return to the editor all the original text is still there. On the other systems, inserting pushed the remaining text forward as you'd normally expect. I thought it might be a TERM or termcap issue, but I believe that's all the same. Nothing in the pico document seems like the "fix" for this. Any thoughts on what it might be? --- þ Synchronet þ BBS Doors (www.bbsdoors.com) .
