His point and mine is that two difficult tasks at the same time could be
avoided. Thus possible enableing success. 

Learning Linux is going to be a steep learning curve. Why not learn SBBS first
(ala sbbs.exe)  and then Linux when you have finished that (more or less)

Obviously you control what goes on in your house. And you will heed what advice
as you will.
